level. You’ve taken a step in the right direction by joining Kappa
Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education. Now it’s time
to make your membership work for you! Start getting the most from your membership with these simple steps: |
| Kappa Delta Pi has 45,000 active members
representing a variety of experience levels, grades, and expertise.
But no matter where we are in our careers or where we teach (or learn!),
we all have the same ideals and strive to demonstrate leadership, service,
and excellence. Take a moment to look over the Essential Guide
for New Members that you received at induction or in the mail.
Use this booklet to determine which of our benefits and services support
what you need today. If you did not receive one, e-mail
us and we’ll send you a new one. Learn more about KDP “Lingo” – download a glossary of frequently used terms that every member should know. |
| Sign on to the Members-Only Web Portal with your member ID# and e-mail address to complete your member profile and ensure that your contact information is correct. KDP uses this information to customize communications and benefits for you so that you can maximize your membership. |
Your membership in KDP is just the first of many accomplishments you will have as part of your education career. Share your pride in membership by sending out a press release. When you celebrate other successes, be sure to share them with us to post on the Recognition page of our Web site. |
Do you have a work-related issue you can’t seem to solve? Ever wish you had a network of colleagues right at your fingertips? Connect with members on the Discussion Board or the Teacher Hotline and tap into some of the greatest minds in education—your peers! You also can use the Membership Directory to search for other KDP members and start making local connections or reaching out to members in other states. |
| Meeting new colleagues and being recognized for your accomplishments in education are only two great ways to get involved with KDP. Take a leadership role in your local chapter. Get funding for a project you’ve been dreaming about by applying for a Classroom Teacher Grant or earn recognition as a Teacher of Honor. Share your knowledge and expertise by writing for one of our newsletters or publications. Start a local institutional chapter, professional chapter, Chalk Talk Café, or professional learning community to connect with other members locally. Get connected with a KDP volunteer project or committee |
With your help, KDP will grow! Please
suggest membership to other colleagues
who you feel personify excellence in education. |
