Targeted Initiatives
You can choose to have your gift restricted to a specific initiative. If you don’t select a specific initiative, your gift will be directed to the program with the greatest need. Listed here are specific KDP programs to which you can direct your contribution. All of these programs have a positive impact on student or teacher learning.

Endowed Opportunities—Give Now
Contributions to endowed funds provide support for projects annually. Funds are used to start an endowment in your name and the interest generated from the endowment is used to fund the project indefinitely.

Professional Research Grants: $10,000–$75,000
Support professional KDP members in their quest to provide cutting-edge research on educational issues.
Convocation Grant: $7,500–$75,000
An ongoing grant that will be given on a biennial basis to a KDP member to pay for his or her registration fees and hotel expenses for Convocation.
Scholarships: $25,000–$75,000
More than 50 Kappa Delta Pi scholarships are currently given on an annual basis to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral members to help ease the burden of school tuition.
Chapter Grants: $2,500–$20,000
An ongoing grant given to a KDP member of a specific chapter.

Annual Opportunities—Give Now
Contributions to annual funds provide full support for a project for one year. Funds are used to pay the costs of the program for one year. Your name will be associated with the project for the year that you make the gift.

Classroom Teacher Grants: $11,500
Kappa Delta Pi awards classroom grants to teachers across the country for innovative projects that enhance student learning.
Literacy Alive: $6,000
The Society promotes children’s literacy and love of reading by funding its chapters’ reading-related programs.
Counselor Academies: $6,000
These free conferences provide counselors with the opportunity to network, learn helpful and time-saving tips and strategies, and deepen their understanding of KDP.
Scholarships: $50 or more
More than 50 Kappa Delta Pi scholarships are currently given on an annual basis to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral members to help ease the burden of school tuition. Support any of the already established scholarships to increase the award amount or to help endow the funds for eternal giving.

Gifts in Honor or Memory Give Now
Giving for the benefit of others can be a wonderful way to reaffirm the values and priorities shared with our loved ones.

Honor gifts are an excellent way to say “thank you” to someone who has impacted your life, such as a teacher, student, administrator, or colleague. Honor gifts are a heartfelt way to recognize an individual’s contributions and accomplishments.

Memorial gifts can be used to remember a family member, educator, or friend who lived before us. Memorial gifts are a distinguished way to remember the life of a departed individual.

Both honor and memorial gifts are 100 percent tax deductible.Those who are recognized with an honor gift will receive an acknowledgment letter. For memorial gifts, an acknowledgment letter will be sent to a surviving family member.

Annual Appeal Give Now
Each year, the Educational Foundation conducts fund-raising drives to support the Society’s activities and programs. Funds are directed toward Society projects that have the greatest need. Funds received through the Annual Appeal help Kappa Delta Pi continue to fulfill its important mission.
