Kappa Delta Pi is committed to supporting all worthy educators—from preservice to veteran; early childhood to collegiate. Educators may join as student or professional members when an institutional, alumni, or school chapter is unavailable by meeting the following requirements:
Intention to continue in the field of education.
Undergraduate—3.2 GPA and completion of 50 credit hours. Please submit a transcript (copies are acceptable).
Graduate students—completion of 15 credit hours toward a Master’s Degree and a 3.5 GPA, or show evidence of work toward or completion of a Doctorate Degree. Any educator holding a Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college must submit either a transcript or copy of the degree. Copies of transcripts are acceptable.
Practicing professionals may submit a letter of recommendation from their administrator in lieu of a transcript.
Principals and superintendents need only to submit an application.
Educators who have been awarded a distinction for their teaching, such as National State Teachers of the Year, Milken Foundation Winners, and Golden Apple recipients are eligible for membership. Please submit a letter or other evidence of the award with your application.
National Board Certified Teachers also qualify for membership.

Educators interested in becoming a Student or a Professional Member should mail the completed application, appropriate documentation, and a dues payment of $38 to:

Upon approval, members will receive a copy of the Ritual of Initiation, Certificate of Membership, Kappa Delta Pi Creed, and Membership Booklet.
