Program: Introduction to KDP Online

The goal of this program is to acquaint KDP members with the benefits and professional resources available on the KDP web site.

Copy of questions for each participant
Level: Easy
How To:
1. Reserve a campus computer lab for a designated time (i.e., one hour).
2. Ask members to locate the following information on the KDP Web site (www.kdp.org)
3. Find your chapter in the chapter directory. What date was your chapter installed?
4. In what year did Margaret Mead become a Laureate member?
5. Who is the current president of Kappa Delta Pi?
6. Locate the Member Benefits page. Which company offers KDP members a discount on classroom supplies?
7. Find an article about John Dewey, the first KDP Laureate member.
8. Where is the Address Change form located?
9. Determine your phase in the Life Cycle of the Career Teacher model.
10. What was one suggested resource for your phase?
11. Describe the design of the KDP tie available in the KDP Store.
12. Provide the name of a KDP graduate scholarship.
13. What is the date and location of the next I Teach Regional Conference?
14. Name a recommended Web site as a resource about the topic of differentiated instruction.

Add a twist:
There could be a small prize for the member(s) who answer all of the questions first.
Have a discussion of different ways that KDP Online resources can be used by the preservice and practicing teacher; by chapter members and officers.
Have members find the answers to the questions before the chapter meeting and review the answers together, providing a small prize for those members who completed the activity. Another alternative is to put the names of those members who had the correct answers to all questions in a drawing for a larger prize.
