Digital Citizenship

It’s a digital world, increasing in size and magnitude, and as with any culture, its inhabitants participate in both good and detrimental ways. This participation also is not easily held accountable, the ramifications of which range from mildly annoying (harmless spam) to serious abuse (harmful malware, cyberbullying, or online predators).

Digital Citizenship is not just the name of this site, it’s also its purpose. Designed to help teachers, technology leaders, and parents to understand what children—and adults—should know to use technology appropriately, Digital Citizenship’s themes guide students, teachers, and parents for good digital citizenship. See all nine themes!

KDP Helping YOU Find the Way

KDP Helping YOU Find the Way was launched to reflect that KDP “knows your pain” in this challenging time of budget and programming cuts, layoffs, reduced funding, and changing state and federal mandates. The education community is directly and significantly affected; KDP’s community of educators bears it personally and professionally. There’s no better time to turn to KDP for an airlift of resources to support and guide you through this rugged terrain.

World Autism Awareness Day was April 2. This day dedicated to awareness and education about the autism spectrum was first established on December 18, 2007 by the United Nations General Assembly. The reason for its creation is to generate better understanding about autism and to support positive outcomes for students and all people affected by autism.
