The National Center for Learning Disabilities presents information for parents, professionals, and individuals with learning disabilities. Its research and programs aim to foster effective learning and help students with learning disabilities succeed.
The National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY) provides information about disabilities in children, IDEA and NCLB law, and research-based educational practices.
Special Education Resources on the Internet lists online resources related to Special Education. On this “clearinghouse site,” educators can find information about specific disabilities, discussion groups, and legal resources.
Teachers Helping Teachers: Special Education
Audience: K–6 educators
Teachers Helping Teachers allows teachers to share lesson plans. Special education teachers can view and contribute to a collection of lesson plans and activities designed for learning-disabled or emotionally disturbed children.
